According to the suave ticker on my home page installed by equally-suave Webmaster Supreme Ron Miles, as I write this there are less than twelve hours till the senses-shattering official launch of The Dinosaur Lords!
Cool! But nope.

But one week from today it’s my birthday – and an even more momentous occasion.
It’s the Official Worldwide Launch Party at the Jean Cocteau Cinema in Santa Fe, NM, held there by the personal invitation of theater owner George R. R. Martin himself!
Yes, on August 3rd, 2017, at 7:00 PM MDT, will happen the social event of the season – and one of the major milestones of my life. And it isn’t turning 61. (Although, as always, I’ll be both grateful and relieved to get there!)
Update, 4:48 PM: Here's your link to buy tickets!
Update 2, 4:49 PM: Less than 8 fucking hours hours to go! AUUUGGGGGHHHHH!
As I mentioned before, That American Tolkien Guy will not be there in person – he has an engagement on the East Coast. I understand a relative is getting married. Although even then, and much as I love the guy, I’m not sure he makes an ideal wedding guest.
But playing host and interviewing me will be my long-time friend, unindicted co-conspirator, and fellow Original Gangster of the Wild Cards Mafia, Melinda Snodgrass herself! Which is always a treat in itself – but we’ll also be giving you a sneak peek at her own much-anticipated fantasy novel, The Edge of Dawn, which drops the very next day!
How can you miss it?
Spoiler: you can’t!
Unless, of course, it’s too far to go. In which case you’re excused. (But you gotta get a note!)
In case you’re wondering whether or not you can get there, the Cocteau is at 418 Montezuma Ave, Santa Fe, NM 87501 (505-466-5528), which is convenient to downtown Santa Fe, and right next to the terminal for the Railrunner commuter train from Albuquerque. Which I know some people are riding up for the show. Admission is $10, or free if you buy a copy from the theater. Which I trust will have plenty on hand!
Seriously, it should be a mega fun time. And I hope you’ll find The Dinosaur Lords a mega-fun read! (Here’s another review from someone who did, at The BiblioSanctum. And here’s a notice from INtocados to keep an eye out for DinoLords from DarkSide in Brazil!)
Please keep your fingers crossed for the impending release, everybody. And thanks again for all your help and support!
See you soon, I hope. And as always – thanks for reading!
