Yes, at last I’ve arrived.
I have my own TV Tropes page!
Hi! Remember me?
I was excited enough to discover a few years back that Wild Cards had a TV Tropes page of its own. This one I’m really stoked about.
Yes, the long-awaited authors copies of The Dinosaur Lords in mass-market paperback have finally arrived!
On Paradise the King Tyrant is an apex predator.
Here on Jupiter, not so much.
As I hope you remember, I finally saw my first copies of the damn paperback Sunday. And just a few minutes ago, I heard the knock-thump-zoom of a UPS delivery from my front door. (There wasn’t the usual furious barking that’s now, blessedly, once again a thing since Mouse Dog came to us, since she was in the back yard.) With my heart all up in my throat, I opened the door and brought the Box inside. And when I opened it -
Hey! You can nitpick (and what fan doesn’t love doing that?) your way to winning your very own free Audible.com audiobook of a certain senses-shattering fantasy novel!
See, I got me a problem, and you, dear Dinosaur Army, can help me fix it. Please.
Okay, that probably sounds unnecessarily ominous. What I mean is that, rather than trying to hunt for Your Ticket to Paradise! when you're trying to figure out where on Paradise anything is, whilst reading the senses-shattering epic fantasy, The Dinosaur Lords. Instead, thanks to the magic of my Web-Master Supreme, Ron Miles, you can easily see it any old time!
No, not here. Okay, here, too. But just wait for it, okay?
So where, I pretend to hear you ask, can you find the new, easily accessible home for your map of the Empire of Nuevaropa?
I invite you all to join me now in a most triumphant Tyrannosaur Roar: RAWR!!1!
And to share my Dinosaur Happy Dance!
There are many images for Dinosaur Happy Dance online, because of course there are.

Okay, Pterosaur Happy Dance*. Totally not a dinosaur. But it counts!
As to why – I just finished reviewing and fixing the copyedited manuscript for The Dinosaur Knights, and sent it in to Tor!
My second-ever podcast interview is out! A few weeks back John Anealio interviewed me for the Functional Nerds Podcast. His usual partner in crime (and engineer) Patrick Hester was indisposed, so John brought on Kristi Charish to help interview and be interviewed. It went well, I thought. Plus now I know, more or less, how to use Google Hangouts as well as Skype. Joy.
It’s like a cross between Jurassic Park and … oh.
More groovy goodness from Brazil, this time courtesy of fan Imagine3711!
And – late last night, the interview dropped! Feel free to take time out from reading this gripping prose and give it a listen.
So a couple weeks ago I got a box left on my porch. Been dilatory posting a pic of its amazing contents for the same reason I haven’t posted anything for too long: life got on top of me, in ways both good and bad. As life does.
Anyway, let’s remedy both those omissions with this:
DarkSide Books has clearly yet again outdone itself with its beautiful graphic design and promotional material. Of which it was kind and generous enough to send a sampling to me.
Because I just sent the manuscript for The Dinosaur Lords Book II: The Dinosaur Knights to Claire “The Editor” Eddy, rewritten as per her highly helpful editorial notes.
