Check us out Saturday, March 7th from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Page One Books, 11018 Montgomery Blvd NE in Burque!

Not this one, the next one!
Most of the authors of the latest Wild Cards shared-world anthology, plus editor George RR Martin and assorted local Wild Cards Mafia types who aren’t in this volume, will be turning out to sign and discuss the latest release (and central volume of our current trilogy) Busted Flush. (For a look at its cover, switch eyes right to the sketchy silver lady over there in the sidebar!)
Along with GRRM, confirmed guests include Melinda M. Snodgrass, Ian Tregillis, John Jos. Miller, Caroline Spector, Walton (Bud) Simons, Carrie Vaughn, and me.
As if that’s not sufficient coolness to freeze you solid enough to shatter with a stern look (and it is, it is), NM’s own John Maddox Roberts will also be in attendance to sign the newest of his popular SPQR series, SPQR XII: Oracle of the Dead. How great is that?
But wait – there’s more!
As I hope you’re aware, Wild Cards isn’t exactly all most of us write. Our other current books will also be available for purchase and signing. How can you resist?
Of course you can’t. So I look forward to seeing you there.
For more info, check out GRRM’s blog post.
Right now you’re probably asking yourself, if that fabulous Frazetta-esque painting up there isn’t the cover for the awesome Busted Flush, what the heck is it? Why, it’s the cover painting for our equally awesome next volume, Suicide Kings, delivered to the publisher a week and a half ago. That’s Rustbelt, whom you may remember from Book I, Inside Straight.
Can’t get enough of Wild Cards (and who can?) Check out the excellent Wild Cards board at Captain Comics, drop your own insights on the genial crew. Various of the authors have been known to drop by, including, sporadically, me. And read a group interview of writers from the first two volumes of the new trilogy at Pat’s Fantasy Hotlist.
And, seriously, if you’re in ABQ on March 7th, please swing by Page One and say hi. We’d love to see you. And it’ll be big fun.
