Way too long ago I was awakened in the middle of the night by my then-partner. She’d just been roused by hearing me say, in the most sepulchral tones, “Death. Death. Yooouur death.” Not pictured: anything my dream-self fears, apparently I explained that in my dream I had merely been threatening a vampire that was ill-advised [...] It’s official: I’m over my severe clinical depression. Apparently. I finally joined Facebook & YouTube. No matter what Thunderbird may believe. So why does it let in some dude who obviously is? But I’m calling it a win. So first it seemed my cell phone battery wasn’t taking a charge. So I left it plugged to the charger when I had to go out this afternoon. Checked Wally World to see if they had a replacement phone – which would likely be the cheapest way to replace the [...] Last night I thought of a wonderful motto. But should I use it? I really intended to walk Emma Dog today. Even though I walked four miles last night with her Uncle Joe – which I’m pretty sure is the farthest I’ve walked since I got sprung. I felt up for it. Would’ve made it three days in a row, and eight miles in three days. Definite progress. And [...] Small victories are small. But I’ll take ‘em! But I couldn’t have any of it, anyway. Worse, there was flan. Flan! Didn’t have any of that, either. At least I have the gratification of knowing I preserved the sanctity of my blood sugar. The bleak, cold, rocky-souled, Puritanical gratification. If one might call it that. Went to a friend’s birthday party at Los Equipales restaurant (thanks, [...] Feeling down, but I can cheer myself up watching the credits sequence FIREFLY deserved! |
