So I just got back from giving a field test to the waterproofing of my jaunty new hat. My suave new hat. It was another fairly warm day here in the Duke City – we’ve had several in a row. I had various errands to run, including shopping for supplies to do some serious cooking this [...] As threatened last time, I made an experimental batch of green chile chicken soup for dinner tonight. Turned out I had 3 cups of chicken broth left over. Using the proportions from the pumpkin soup, I put in a cup of heavy cream and brought it to a boil.
