A year ago I came back from a very dark place, speaking figuratively. And began a new life. In what amounted to a new house. On February 27th, 2010, I went to the emergency room, and from there into UNM Hospital. Along with life-threatening physical conditions (at least three, in fact) I was diagnosed as suffering from [...] I used to be ultra-resistant to cold. No more. I swing my kettlebell; Emma Dog doesn’t help. Fortunately. … once I’ve walked it. That’s perhaps the single most important truth I know about my writing. Because of my perfectionist tendencies it’s been the hardest one for me to learn to live by. Learning to do so is probably the most important way I need to overcome my perfectionism.
