Hot off the presses, and George RR Martin His Ownself, bearer of the news, just sent the all-clear to announce it: GRRM just sold the Brazilian-Portuguese-language rights to the whole damn Wild Cards series to his Brazilian publisher, Grupo LeYa, for a [...] Yes, that could be construed as a plug for my solo Wild Cards novel of a suspiciously similar name. Except it’s not available except used. Currently. Spoiler: now available in ebook form! And that could be about to change, because our current publisher Tor Books (who also have the extraordinary taste and discernation to be the future [...] Those who spend time with me know I like to say nothing’s real until the check clears the bank. Well … the check cleared the bank. The Dinosaur Lords. It’s on. Look for it in early 2013! Rawr! So yesterday I got an email firing me off the Seekrit Projekt. The editor – who has been immensely supportive, helpful, and enthusiastic throughout our professional association, and who professed herself delighted by everything I delivered – said her CEO didn’t care for the “voice, tone, and style of writing.” (Or as one waggish friend [...] Yes, boys and girls, it’s FORT FREAK, the latest installment in the long-lasting series of senses-shattering shared-world anthologies known to an awestruck world as Wild Cards. Listen up, my beloved friends and readers! I have just accepted an offer from Tor Books to buy a little thing I like to call The Ballad of Karyl’s Last Quest: A Romance in Three Volumes. And you know what that means. You’re more used to seeing me refer to it by the title of Volume the [...] A new Wild Cards Day dawns, in the form of a new release of WILD CARDS 1, with a great new cover and three new stories! SFRevu already has a review up of the as-yet-unreleased Wild Cards mosaic novel, Suicide Kings. And it’s, um, nice.
