Another year, another Wild Cards signing! This time out Melinda Snodgrass, Daniel Abraham, John J. Miller, Caroline Spector, Ian Tregillis, and of course, Victor Milán (dot’s I’m!) will be signing the concluding volume of our current Committee triad, Suicide Kings. Also. Wild Carder Carrie Vaughn will be there; she doesn’t have a piece in Suicide Kings, [...] Gee, I hope not. And I can’t literally be. I was sound asleep and Emma Dog roused me crying to go outside; that’s the only reason I’m up and around at this Godless hour. When Emma wants out, I let her out. I’m just going to say she’s a big dog, and let it go [...] I need to be better about updating my blog. So here’re some quick and semi-random notes. First, I’m hustling to polish off my story for the new standalone Wild Cards anthology, Fort Freak. It’s kind of a Sidney Lumet yarn: lots of conversation and conspiracy, then somebody gets shot. But light-hearted. No, really. Mostly. It does get [...] Randolph Carter* of Grinding to Valhalla interviews me on Wild Cards, gaming, and the craft of writing. Results are pretty good, think I. Please give it a look and, should you feel moved, pass it on. And speaking of Wild Cards … over on his Not A Blog blog, That American Tolkien Guy reveals the [...] Now there’s a snappy blog post title. I am the King of SEO!
Okay. Maybe not. Under the circumstances, it’s as close an approximation to a snappy title as I can muster. Deal. Many thanks to Craig Chrissinger of ASFS and the Page One folks for putting it together and pulling it off. I got a decently early (for me) start on the day. Got [...] Okay, it was yesterday. Sorry. I was socked-in tight writing on my new Annja book – getting near done, here. Also, in the evening I went to a tree-trimming way the hell and gone up in the foothills with one of my Meetup groups. Which, by the way, was fun. Anyway, it’s out, huzzah: [...] Yes, the new one’s coming out, December 9. I may’ve been remiss (big surprise) mentioning it, inasmuch as last year I assiduously pimped a Wild Cards book in which I wasn’t, Inside Straight. Well, I am in this one. Big time.
