Fort Freak, that is! As I mentioned last time, this Saturday, July 9th, 2011, I’ll be signing the latest Wild Cards “mosaic novel” at Page One Bookstore, 11018 Montgomery Blvd NE, 87111 here in Albuquerque, commencing at 2:30 PM. Also taking part will be Melinda Snodgrass (who co-edited as well as having a story in the book), [...] So commencing Friday, June 23rd (that’s tomorrow, for those as calendrically challenged as I tend to be) I shall be manifesting at the Albuquerque Comic Expo. It's gotta be great! Look at how thrilled this little guy is! As you can see if you clicked on the image above, or the link above that, it’s got [...] Plus Lost (yes, that Lost) in Wild Cards (yes, that Wild Cards.) Or vice versa… First things first: Saturday, April 9th, commencing at 2:30 PM, the ever-helpful Page One Bookstore in Albuquerque and Craig Chrissinger (also ever-helpful) will be hosting a book signing by a number of fine local writers. Some days it just ain't worth [...] Fortunately, my odds look good of leaving 2010 on my own two feet, with quiet smile and head held high. Another year, another Wild Cards signing! This time out Melinda Snodgrass, Daniel Abraham, John J. Miller, Caroline Spector, Ian Tregillis, and of course, Victor Milán (dot’s I’m!) will be signing the concluding volume of our current Committee triad, Suicide Kings. Also. Wild Carder Carrie Vaughn will be there; she doesn’t have a piece in Suicide Kings, [...] Gee, I hope not. And I can’t literally be. I was sound asleep and Emma Dog roused me crying to go outside; that’s the only reason I’m up and around at this Godless hour. When Emma wants out, I let her out. I’m just going to say she’s a big dog, and let it go [...] I need to be better about updating my blog. So here’re some quick and semi-random notes. First, I’m hustling to polish off my story for the new standalone Wild Cards anthology, Fort Freak. It’s kind of a Sidney Lumet yarn: lots of conversation and conspiracy, then somebody gets shot. But light-hearted. No, really. Mostly. It does get [...] Randolph Carter* of Grinding to Valhalla interviews me on Wild Cards, gaming, and the craft of writing. Results are pretty good, think I.
